This year, Meadowbrook Stables is celebrating 85 years as a riding facility in the nation’s capital! This anniversary is an occasion both to honor our vibrant and unique history, and to plan for our future. Thus, at our gala celebration in November, the Board announced a $1.5 million capital campaign to build a long overdue covered riding arena here at Meadowbrook. We are excited to say that we have $1.25 million in pledged gifts already in hand! So we are now calling on our broader community of current and former riders and families to raise the final $250,000 in gifts and pledges needed to start construction.
Meadowbrook was built and sustained by generations of riders and families just like us. So far, 45 of these riders and families have provided the leadership support to allow us to move forward with the arena campaign, but our goal can only be achieved with the full participation of our entire community of current and alumni riders. We ask each of you to join us now with a gift to the campaign. Your gift in the next few weeks will allow us to bring this project to fruition – and to break ground on a covered riding arena in 2020!
